Deepika Padukone attended Sanjay Leela Bhansali's birthday party dressed as her character from the director's next 'Ram Leela'
When Deepika Padukone received an invite for a party to celebrate Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 50th birthday, she was busy shooting for her film with Rohit Shetty in Wai.

However, the actress decided to take time out to travel to Mumbai to attend the event. And Dippy travelled six hours by road and came dressed as Leela, her character from SLB’s Ram Leela, to wish her director.
A source says, “SLB had invited a few of his close friends from the industry for a bash. Deepika too received an invite for the party but was shooting for Rohit’s next in Wai. She finally decided to take some time out from her schedule to drive back to the city.”
An insider from the party says, “She was tired but she did not complain. She looked very elegant in a white saree. She spent two hours at the bash and immediately went back to Wai to resume the shoot schedule.”
The actress’ spokesperson confirms it.
