As the winner of the race was already pre-decided, (Sallu was supposed to be the winner anyway), one could almost see the other professional jockeys holding their mounts in check, as the horses threatened to overtake Wild Rose, which Salman was riding.
An expert said, "Malesh was seen straining to keep his horse in check."
Apparently, Sallubhai's frank confession, in which he claimed to be scared as his stirrup had broken while riding, had the crowds going wild.
