Best buddies Ekta Kapoor and Prachi Desai were spotted praying together, and that too in two different cities Amritsar and Ajmer.

Not much of a surprise, actually, considering that shooting for the duo's next film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai begins next month.

After the flops Ekta's production house has produced so far, it seems all their hopes rest in the divine.

When contacted, Prachi said, "Yes, Ekta and I had gone together to pray at the Golden Temple and the Ajmer Sharif dargah. It was a beautiful experience."

Apparently, the trip was undertaken for everyone to seek divine blessings for Balaji's next film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.

Prachi plays a shy conservative Muslim girl who falls in love with an underworld don, played by Emraan Hashmi.

Behind the scenes

The actress admits, "Initially I was reluctant as I felt I needed to do films from banners other than Balaji. But when Milan Luthria narrated the script, I accepted as I got a chance to do a role I haven't done before."

This trip, for sure, proves that Prachi's initial refusal to do the film has not hampered their friendship.

Ekta and Prachi are also working on Prachi's styling together and have started shopping for her costumes.

"For a convincing look, we have bought jhumkas and salwar kameezes from shops in the old streets of Delhi and antique earrings from Ahmedabad.

So far, we have not faced any security problems. If it gets scary, we will don burkhas," said a visibly delighted Prachi.
