Ghar Ki Baat Hai becomes a weekly from tonight

Shah Rukh Khan's soap Ghar Ki Baat Hai which airs thrice a week is undergoing a change from tonight.

Due to the Indian Premier League matches telecast, the comedy will be aired as a one-hour weekly two episodes back to back.

With the parliamentary elections coming up, today's episode is an election special with Asgar Ali in a Laloo Prasad get-up and Swapnil Joshi as a candidate contesting for the housing society election.

While Juhi Babbar and Jayati Bhatia would be seen preparing to participate in a dance reality show.

The story revolves around the hilarious situations and events in the lives of the Yagnik family.

Director Anant Mahadevan says, "I always thought the comedy should be weekly.

Ghar Ki Baat Hai has found its own mark. It is a comedy of manners and words rather than the comedy of slipping on the banana peel."
