The actor is the brand ambassador of the distance running event. John, began by saying congratulations to all those who had collected so much for charity (the total amount was Rs 9 crore-plus).
He also had the audience laughing when he said, "Years ago, my father told me, 'Son, you do not need to go to Church to do good only.' He meant that good could be done anywhere.

I took that seriously and never went to any religious place after that (laughs)..." He then went on to say that endorsing the marathon was his way of doing good.
