Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani joined Akshay Kumar and children from a local NGO today for a screening of Pad Man in Ahmadabad. It took place at 10 am at a multiplex in the state capital, and was held to promote menstrual hygiene. A discussion on the plight of women in their menses in rural India ensued. Rupani lauded the efforts of Kumar in making his film, stating that the message has a far-reaching impact.
