Romours of a sequel to Anil Kapoor and Sridevi-starrer Mr India have resurfaced after a brief lull. According to industry insiders, Anil’s son Harshvardhan Kapoor is likely to play the lead in the sci-fi’s second instalment.

Says a source, "Though Harsh will debut this year with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 'Mirziya', he will turn to his uncle's (Boney Kapoor) banner for his second outing, which will be 'Mr India 2'."
In November last year, Boney had said. "We are keen to make 'Mr India 2', but we need an exciting idea for it. The day we get the idea we will jump at it."

For the sequel, the producer said the casting of actors would depend on the script, while promising that wife Sridevi and brother Anil would no doubt be part of it. It had also been speculated that Boney's son, actor Arjun Kapoor would star in the film.
While Boney remained unavailable for comment, a source close to Harshvardhan confirms the story.
