The second schedule of Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Roy is slated to start around August 10. But it may be pointed out that the actor has just started shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film, Tamasha, opposite Deepika Padukone.

Earlier on, the second and the final schedules of Roy were to be shot in South Africa, but director Vikramjit Singh chose to shoot in Malaysia instead, as he thought that the locales there were better suited the script.

According to sources, Ranbir has already given bulk dates to Imtiaz and they will finish Tamasha’s first schedule in a little over a month’s time; this, in turn, may clash with his dates for Roy.

Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, that’s producing Roy, says, “We are starting the film’s next schedule from August 10 and Ranbir will join us from August 25, so there’s no clash.”

However, sources says that Ranbir is required to shoot for at least 40-45 days as part of Roy’s second and final schedules. The makers are looking at an early next year release, which is why they apparently want to finish shooting by September and start post production soon after.

Another source confirms the story. “Ranbir will be back in India in a month, but he will get busy with another project (Jagga Jasoos) and will thus not be able to shoot for Roy before the first week of September,” says the source.

This is not the first time that shooting for Roy has been delayed. Earlier, both Ranbir Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez have had date problems, thus postponing the film’s schedule.
