And the man has proven yet again that he remains the king of comedy. "I was pleasantly surprised with the reviews I got from fans, the press and the critics," says a modest Johnny. He talks about five roles that he believes brought him immense fame.
1. Jalwa (1987)
I played the character of Murthy, the maalishwala, with a hilarious scene in which he enters the TV and entertains people.

Kainchee was my character, I played a friend in Munna's (Anil Kapoor) tapori college group.

I was Babulal, the head servant, who would keep forgetting. "Toh main kya naachu?" made me really famous!

Rakesh Roshan cast me as Lenghaiya, the funny stablehand in the film.
