Khalid Mohamed's project with Vikram Bhatt has been shelved. The film critic-turned director's autobiographical venture Rutbaa was to be produced by Bhatt's ASA Productions. On Tuesday, they decided to part ways and called off the deal.
Vikram points out, "I don't think I want to produce Rutbaa now. It's no longer our project."
Too personal
Khalid says, "I do not want to do Rutbaa with Vikram Bhatt's company because it was being delayed unnecessarily and from the look of things even if I had done the project, it'd look tacky. The script is far too personal for me to allow secondhand treatment from Mr Bhatt."
The source adds, "Khalid also felt that Vikram was interfering in the script and music of the project."
As reported in MiDDAY, Rutbaa was Khalid's autobiographical venture dealing with his relationship with his half-brother who was two years younger to him.
Sources add that the debacle of Bhatt's production Threeu00a0- Love Lies Betrayal at the box-office threw all the other projects off gear. Vikram however maintains, "My other projects are on course."
