Mardaani 2 released in 1600 screens and witnessed a big growth again on day 3 as it collected 7.80 crore nett - that's more than double of its first-day collection of 3.80 crore nett! The total collection of this riveting thriller is now at 18.15 crore nett. Mardaani 2's incredible weekend collections indicates that the film is set to have a good hold on weekdays.

Rani is reprising the role of the fearless and committed Superintendent of Police, Shivani Shivaji Roy in the film. She had delivered a knock-out performance in the superhit and hugely acclaimed prequel, Mardaani, in which she took on the kingpin of a child trafficking racket.
