Marvel gets Tronified

To those in the know, Disney's acquisition of Marvel Inc meant many things the corporatisation of a comicbook culture that took a long, hard, unflinching look at the reality around us and made characters and storylines worth remembering.

Most Marvel comics are meant for mature audiences, while others appeal to teen audiences. Disney coming into the picture meant that the characters would now be adapted for a far younger audience.

That said, the movie business is a far different ballgame.

As such, Disney has shown that it can cater to audiences with a taste for the dark.

If you note, movies made on Marvel characters usually end up with several sequels as compared to their closest competitors in the comic-to-movie adaptation business, DC.

Except for Batman and Superman, few other DC characters have found as widespread success as Marvel's.

With the release of these pictures,u00a0 Marvel and Disney give us a sneak peek at what that partnership has wrought.

These 'Tronified' Marvel characters will come out as variant covers on comic books releasing in November in anticipation of 'Tron: Legacy', a movie Disney is going all out to promote. A movie you would do well to watch out for.
