Pick wonder weaves from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at this exhibition
Pochampally Ikkat cotton saris
Keen to be a head-turner at your friend’s wedding? Head to an exhibition by Tilang-Andhri, a label launched in 2012, that offers handcrafted saris ranging from Rs 2,000 to Rs 14,000.
Like its name — Tilang is a raga from Telangana and Andhri is an ancient melody native to Andhra — the label merges handloom techniques of both states with the weaves sourced directly from the craftsmen of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
