Priyan wants Sameera Reddy to do a item song for his untitled film

Sameera Reddy will be seen in an item number after quite some time in Kumar Mangat's untitled next. It will be something on the lines of Shilpa Shetty's Main Aayee Hoon UP- Bihar Lootne number in Shool.

Interestingly, Sameera gotthe track over the lead actress in the filmu00a0- Bipasha Basu (who has done Beedi Jalai Le and Namak in Omkara).



Reddy in mind

The film is being directed by Priyadarshan and currently, the unit is shooting in Kadakudi. Says a source, "It was Priyadarshan's choice that Sameera do the sensuous rustic item song, Teri issaq se meetha kuch bhi nahi, in this film. He saw Sameera perform in De Dhana Dhan and had approached her for the song saying he had her in mind when he planned this film."

Kumar Mangat admits, "The decision on whom to cast for the song was the call of the director. Bipasha has a god song too with Ajay. I had nothing to do with it. Sameera's song Teri Issaq will be a bigger hit than Beedi Jalai Le in Priyan's film which is an action-thriller. It's been shot partly in a haveli and part set. Priyan is extremely charged up about this film which is based on a report in a newspaper on honour killings."

Sameera says, "I don't know if Bips is upset but Priyan sir had told me in De Dhana Dhan that he wanted me to this song. I love dancing and till now have only done western numbers in Musafir and Race. In Kumarji's film, I will be doing a hardcore sexy folk number for the first time. It's a rocking number composed by Priyan, sung by Bhojpuri singer Kalpana and choreographed by Kala Masteru00a0- a top choreographer from the south. It's like Shilpa's Main aayee hoon UP-Bihar lootne with full on jhatkas and matkas. My hips move more than Shakira's," Sameera laughs.

I get drenched!

Neeta Lulla, who had done Shilpa's look and styling in UP Bihar is doing Sameera's styling in the song. "She has given me some amazing ethnic jewelleryu00a0- small touches like a piece in my hair or a chain on the stomach but the overall look is very sexy and sensuous. I get drenched in the rain toou00a0- like Aishwarya in Ishq Kameena. I am wearing a deep red ghaghra choli with tons of silver and oxidised jewellery and kohl-rimmed eyes. It's a bright and colourful look."

Will she be doing any more item numbers? "This is a very special one. I have never done any songs in films that were not mine. I heard the song and said yes."

Sameera has been working out a lot for this song. She says, "You will see a slimmer, more feminine me. I have been doing power yoga and swimming for the past year and have changed my diet too. Now I eat lighter, smaller and more frequent meals to increase my metabolism rate and have lost 6 kgs."

What's that?
Kumar Mangat has bought a special blow light from France for Sameera's song. He says, "There are 20 character actors in the song and it will be a very expensive song. We bought the blow light because it's very powerful. One blow light is equal to a 100 lights and can be lighted in just 10 minutes."
