Close on the heels of buzz that Alia Bhatt has been roped in to play one of the two lead heroines in Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film, our sources tell us that Priyanka Chopra too has apparently been signed for Anurag Basu’s detective drama.

Apparently, PC’s on screen chemistry with RK is what tipped the scales in her favour. A source says, “Priyanka also worked in Anurag’s Barfi! opposite Ranbir.

The director had been planning to finalise the cast for a while now.” Though PC and Anurag remained unavailable for comment, another source close to the project says, “PC has a busy year ahead.

She has to finish her Mary Kom biopic and promote two other upcoming films. She shares a great relation with Anurag as well as Ranbir. If she can accommodate the dates, she will definitely be a part of the project.”u00a0
