Rajnikanth’s upcoming film Kochadaiyaan release may be pushed to another date due to the upcoming elections. The film, which also stars Deepika Padukone, was slated to hit the marquee on April 11 along with Amitabh Bachchan’s Bhootnath Returns.

The elections in Tamil Nadu are to be held on April 24. Kochadaiyaan is Rajni’s daughter Soundarya’s directorial debut and is wrttien by K Ravi Kumar. The film will not only only be released in Tamil but also in Hindi, Telugu, Japanese, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi and English.
