The latest buzz is that Rajkummar Rao will be playing Vidya Balan's husband in the upcoming film, 'Hamari Adhuri Kahaani'. This is the first time that Rajkummar and Vidya are acting together.

Sources say that director Mohit Suri has played an instrumental role in casting this rather unusual couple. “Rajkummar will play Vidya’s husband in the film. Though it’s a small part, Rajkummar didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to work with his favourite actress. He truly appreciates Vidya’s work and is known to be her big fan,” says a source close to the project.
Producer Mukesh Bhatt confirmed the story. “We started shooting with Vidya Balan in Kolkata on Ashtami and Emraan Hashmi joined us on October 5. Rajkummar Rao is also a part of the film; he is playing Vidya’s husband,” he said.
Bhatt added that while the first schedule of the film has taken them to Kolkata, the movie would also be filmed in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Cape Town. “The final schedule of the film will be shot in Mumbai in December and we plan to release the film on June 12 next year,” said Bhatt.
