Last evening, it was announced that a cola major has dropped Salman Khan as its brand ambassador. The superstar is rumoured to have been replaced by Ranveer Singh. It is said that they wanted a younger face to endorse their product. Salman had been the face of the brand since 2012, after he replaced Akshay Kumar.
Ranveer remained unavailable for comment while a statement jointly issued by Salman's team and the cola brand clarified, "Salman was committed to an existing relationship with a daily TV show ('Bigg Boss'), which, this year, happens to be sponsored by a brand that competes with Coca-Cola India product portfolio. In light of this, both parties have mutually decided not to renew their current contract."
