Rohit Shetty was keen to remake Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff-starrer Ram Lakhan (1989), but the project did not take off.
He's still obsessed with it as he has chosen the film's chartbuster, My Name Is Lakhan, as the title of his Ranveer Singh-starrer.
The film is a remake of the Telugu film, Temper (2015), starring Junior NTR.
