Sanjay Dutt is determined to be in Singapore on July 14 the day Amar Singh's kidney transplant surgery takes place. The actor wants to be by the side of the Samajwadi leader come what may and whichever part of the world he is in.
Though he finishes his Goa schedule for All The Best by the month-end, there is a hitch. Dutt is expected to
complete a three-day shooting stint for Tony D'Souza's Blue before flying to South Africa for Anil Kapoor's No Problem in July. But he is keen to balance the dates and the shoots and leave July 14 free.
Won't have to wait
It is learnt that almost 2,000 people from all over the country have come forward to donate one of their kidneys to the politician.
Says one of Singh's closest friends in the film industry, "Other transplant patients are caught in a no-donor situation. Amar Singhji's problem is not who will donate a kidney but who won't."
A final decision on the donor will be taken in the coming days.
Several of Singh's other close friends from the industry are also slated to fly to Singapore before his surgery.
