Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali to launch veteran actress and former Miss India Poonam Dhillon and filmmaker Ashok Thakeria's son, Anmol Thakeria
Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali who launched Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor in Bollywood will now be launching veteran actress Poonam Dhillon and filmmaker Ashok Thakeria's son, Anmol Thakeria. Previously Bhansali was also rumoured to launch Jaaved Jaafery's son Meezan, who had worked with him as an assistant director on his magnum opus 'Bajirao Mastani'.
Now according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Bhansali will launch Anmol Thakeria is one of his upcoming projects. The news comes close on the heels of initial reports that Shahid Kapoor, who is also a part of SLB's Padmavati, had been signed for the film, rumours that the actor has denied. A source close to the development revealed that Anmol has had several meetings with Bhansali over the past month to discuss the project. The film's team is still looking for a leading lady though Kiara Advani's name has been doing the rounds.
"Anmol returns from his holiday today. Details about the project will be clearer once he is back in town. The film is expected to kick off next year," adds the source, informing that Anmol has studied in a college in London for two years and is currently vacationing in London with close friend Harshvardhan Kapoor with whom he also works out. "He has trained in acting at Anupam Kher's academy and has learnt dance from Shaimak Davar." Anmol's younger sister, 22-year-old Paloma, was in the news earlier this year with her style statement on the social media. His producer-dad's last production was 'Great Grand Masti'.
