Sources reveal that Sanjay Dutt has been approached to play the role of Esha's dad. The two have worked twice before in Shaadi No 1 (2005) and Dus (2005) but they've never been paired with each other.
Dutt has expressed interest in the project and asked Hema to send him the final script. A source reveals, "The story is that of a girl hunting her father down and trying to fix their soured relation. Sanjay's character is that of a cold calculating individual who doesn't believe in emotional attachments.
It is learnt that Esha suggested Dutt's name to her mom. She thought he'd be a cool father. Dutt is fond of the Deol beti and has promised to try his best to accommodate her project in his schedule. 
Dutt's business manager confirms, "Esha called and said they had a role for Sanju and they were keen that he do the film. He has been busy campaigning for the elections and promoting All The Best, Blue and Aladin. Once all that's over he will take a call."
TMOK also stars Arjan Bajwa as Esha's romantic interest. The film is scheduled to go on floors by this year end.
