Shandar Amrohi to keep Preity Zinta informed

All sides will inform the court of their decision today

Late filmmaker Kamal Amrohi's children have decided to settle their battle over their father's assets out of court. The three sides, Tajdar Amrohi, Shandar Amrohi and Rukhsar Amrohi, were advised by the Bombay High Court recently to enlist a mediator to help solve their dispute over the rights to their father's property and business. However, they have decided to take an easier way and settle out of court. Shandar acknowledged that he will keep his "spiritual daughter"u00a0Preity Zinta in the loop of what'su00a0happening in theu00a0dispute. Preity got involved in the dispute when Shandar claimed that he would like to will his inheritance to the actress, an announcement which Rukhsar strongly opposed.u00a0

Preity has also publicly shown her support to Shandar during the dispute, which began when Shandar accused Rukhsar and her son Waseem of stealing his shares of their father's company Mahal Pictures Pvt Ltd and sold them to a realty company. However, Rukhsar and Waseem denied it, claiming that Shandar was being instigated by Tajdar and Preity.

When Shandar filed a case of theft against Rukhsar and Waseem, Preity even went with Shandar to the police station. Her spokesperson accompanied Shandar when he filed a civil suit.

The dispute has been on in the court for more than a month now and neither side had shown any signs of relenting. But all of them now believe that an out of court settlement is good option. If negotiations fail, then they would talk through a mediator.
