Shonali Nagrani is all set to host the Twenty20 World Cup on a leading sports channel. While the lady is paying special attention to her wardrobe for the show, she is a natty dresser in actual life too. Shopping forms a part of her 'time out' and she makes sure she indulges herself on every spree. Here's Shonali sharing her retail therapy with CS:

Shopping planner
I usually do bulk buying three times a year, where I always plan out my purchases for the season depending on the fashion trends. But I still am a perfect victim of impulsive buying. If I see an outfit on a mannequin calling out my name, then it doesn't matter how much it costs, I just want it. I love shopping alone, it's my 'time out' and this is when I get to thoroughly pamper myself. Besides, too many opinions always confuse me and cut into my precious shopping time. I am usually very sure of my decisions and if in doubt, I usually pick up a customer from the store and ask.

A thing for...
Do I really have to choose between my fetish for clothes, shoes and bags? No ensemble is complete without each of them. But for some strange reason, every summer I land up buying at least 10 pairs of shoes. In fact, this year I didn't even wait for the summer. I did my shoe shopping for the season last month. Since photography is my new passion, I want to buy the Canon 7D. Also, I would love to buy any of the latest Chanel bags (the jute ones).

Purchase haunts
I do all my traditional wear and shoe shopping in India. However, I shop for clothes and bags abroad. London, Paris and Dubai are my favourite foreign shopping destinations. In London, I love doing high-street shopping around Covent Garden. The high-street designers always guarantee exclusivity at affordable prices. I love discovering new local designers abroad as that makes my shopping experience a lot more exciting. I love the Emirates Mall in Dubai, Selfridges in London, Promenade and Emporia in New Delhi.u00a0

Shelling tips
When in doubt don't touch it. Never buy clothes that take away from your personality. Clean lines and cuts will never go out of fashion. I hate trying out clothes before buying them. And so, I have clothes that I will never wear and that's when I tell myself 'shop in haste and repent in leisure!'
