It seems Sushant Singh Rajput is on a roll! He has been roped in to play the male lead in Shekhar Kapur's directorial venture "Paani"
It is said that after his realistic performance in “Shuddh Desi Romance”, both Kapur and producer Aditya Chopra finalised him for the lead.
“Sushant is one of the most inspiring young actors to emerge out of India. It's going to be an exciting director-actor collaboration with him on 'Paani',” Kapur said in a statement.
To be made under the Yash Raj Films banner, the film is based in a future world where wars over water have broken out. The film's cast will have both Indian and western actors.
A young leading actress from the West will join Sushant, who started movie career with “Kai Po Che!”
“Paani” goes on floor mid-2014.
