Says the actress, “I have been busy with the script readings for a while now. When I signed the film I thought it would be shot somewhere in Maharashtra and then I was told that it would be London. What more could I have asked for? It is a city I love to be in.” The film is produced by Akshay Kumar and Ashvini Yardi’s production house and has Sumeet Raghavan as her co-star.

As her mother Tanuja is Maharashtrian, Marathi is a language she is comfortable in. “I have grown up with people talking in Marathi around me and I can speak as well as comprehend.”

Incidentally Tanuja is also acting in a Marathi film directed by Nitish Bharadwaj. “It is a coincidence that we are both working in a Marathi film at the same time. We did not influence each other, it was an independent decision we took. The offers came our way at the same time.”

Tanishaa who made her debut a decade ago with Sssshhh was later seen in films like Neal N Nikki and Sarkar.
