What's it about: It's more than a coincidence that The Losers had to release a week after The A-Team. The two films have several things in common -- a team of underdogs on a mission to get a 'clean chit' and prove their innocence, loads of mindless action and a plot that falls apart before halftime. The Losers are a bunch of agents stuck in the jungles of Bolivia when double-crossed by a crazy CIA agent, Max (Jason Patric). Most of the film follows their journey to seek revenge and turn the tables on the one who did them wrong.
What's hot: Since it's inspired from a comic book, there's ample humor and cheeky wit between the characters. The action also has shades of comedy, with the fight scenes looking like classroom brawls. Jason Patric does a great job of playing a maniac let loose, while Chris Evans shows off his funny side.
What's not: Most of the film feels like a shoddy attempt. The script is sketchy, the camera work shaky and the characters seem totally clueless. The lacklustre casting does nothing to make the premise interesting. Like all action movies, it plays on the clich ufffds, uses lame one-liners and picks up fights at regular intervals. Even if we turn a blind eye to that, how does one make up for the absence of a decent story? Zoe looks completely out of place as the mysterious lady wanting to help the team.

What to do: Somewhere stuck in between a rock and hard place, The Losers is as forgettable as any other action flick with a bunch of actors wanting to look cool.
