Kareena Kapoor refused to be a part of Raj Kumar Gupta's (of Aamir fame) next project, No One Can Kill Jessica as she felt the script was too arty for her liking.

Offbeat nahi!

A source close to the actress reveals, "Kareena's forthcoming projects are all commercial flicks. In the past too, she has mostly been part of mainstream cinema, and has only one offbeat film (Chameli) to her credit.

Raj Kumar was working on a script for quite some time and wanted Kareena to be a part of it.

The director is signed with UTV Spotboy for a two-film deal and is working on his next No One Can Kill Jessica with the same production house."

Script suno

The source continues, "The director had spoken to Bebo and wanted her to hear his script. After a few weeks, Kapoor finally managed to meet him and hear his script.

Bebo's beau Saif also insisted she do it, as he really liked Gupta's debut flick Aamir. However, the script didn't really appeal to the actress and she found it too arty."

When asked if he approached Kareena, Gupta says, "Who told you about this?" then adds, "I have sent across my script to several actors."

Is Kareena one of them? Says the director, "I am keen to work with her. I have given her my script.

The latest trend in Bollywood does not require you to give a narration.

One just sends the script to the actor and they read it by themselves."

Says Kareena, "It's a false story. I have yet to hear the narration."
