Director Nikkhil Advani's television series based on Israeli show, Hatufim, traces the story of Indian soldier Sartaj Singh (played by Purab Kohli), who returns from captivity after 17 years. Popular crime series Homeland, too, was inspired by the show. The 126-episode P.O.W: Bandi Yuddh Ke will premiere in October.

Purab, who plays Sartaj, dons three distinct looks in the film. Says Purab, “I have watched Hafitum, but not Homeland. Initially, to get a grasp of the characters, their psyche and intensity, I needed a reference point. But once we started shooting, we followed just the screenplay and the director’s word.”
