Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is all set to make her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year. Early on Friday morning, the actress was spotted at the Mumbai airport, headed to France to attend the prestigious event. Her appearance at the festival has been long-awaited.
Alia Bhatt heads to Cannes 2025
Alia took to her Instagram handle to reveal that she is heading to Cannes as a L'Oréal ambassador. She gave a glimpse of her open suitcase. Inside her Louis Vuitton luggage, she had an essentials package by L'Oréal and two books for her trip to France. One of the books was Atomic Habits by James Clear.
"Off we go," Alia captioned the post, along with a flight and kiss emoji.

At the airport, Alia was seen dazzling in a stylish look. She was dressed in a head-to-toe Gucci outfit, making for a luxurious style statement as she headed to the grand event. Alia aced the semi-formal look in a white tee, blue denim jeans, and a beige blazer. She accessorised with a pair of stylish sunglasses and white sneakers.

Indians at Cannes
So far, Indians have shone at the ongoing film festival. Payal Kapadia who won big for her film 'All We Imagine As Light' last year is on the jury this year. Neeraj Ghaywan's directorial Homebound made it to the official selection at the festival. The team of the film including Karan Johar, Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa were present at the festival. Their film received a nine-minute standing ovation.
Apart from that, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan marked her return to the festival, putting up two glorious looks as she walked the red carpet.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia is busy filming her upcoming movie Alpha. Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is set to be a notable addition to Yash Raj Films' acclaimed spy universe and is scheduled for release on December 25. The film also stars Sharvari as the parallel lead and Bobby Deol as a menacing antagonist.
She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Alia previously collaborated with Bhansali on the 2022 drama Gangubai Kathiawadi. This will be her second collaboration with Ranbir after Brahmāstra, and with Vicky after Raazi.
