Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 has been drawing massive crowds in theatres since its release on March 19. The Ranveer Singh-starrer is rated A for its violence, meaning anyone below 18 years of age is not permitted inside cinema halls. However, in Lucknow, tensions flared when theatre staff enforced the rule.

A man reportedly tried to enter the theatre with his underage son. When staff stopped the child from entering, the father began assaulting them.

According to reports, the man argued that his son was old enough to watch the film. However, the situation escalated as both sides stood firm on their positions. Matters soon turned chaotic and intense when the father allegedly began physically attacking the theatre staff.

The situation did not remain tense for long, as both parties reportedly calmed down following intervention by the security team.

Fight breaks out at Hyderabad theatre

In a separate incident, an Instagram user posted a video claiming she had booked tickets at PVR Cinemas in Next Galleria Mall, located in Hyderabad. During the screening—paused amid an on-screen promo for Cocktail 2—audience members were seen getting into a scuffle.

She alleged that the multiplex had sold tickets for both the Telugu and Hindi versions of the film for the same screen. In another video, she claimed the theatre played the Hindi version despite audiences booking tickets for the Telugu version.

Viewers were seen arguing over which version should be screened, with a woman heard shouting, “But the Telugu version was booked first.” Even as the Instagram user joked that she was having “fun,” police and theatre management were seen attempting to calm the crowd.

After the videos went viral, social media users responded with humour. One user commented, “Ask them to play the first half in Telugu and the second half in Hindi, simple.” Another joked that she should have booked tickets for Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh instead.
