Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is one of the most-awaited films of the year. While fans have been eagerly waiting for it, the makers have finally unveiled the trailer of the bloody, gruesome saga, and it looks all things promising. The trailer reveals that the film is inspired by true events and captures the tension between India and Pakistan, with Ranveer ready to cause dhamaka as he seeks vengeance.

About the Dhurandhar trailer

The trailer opens with a grim sequence of Arjun Rampal’s character torturing a captive, as he narrates Pakistani dictator Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq’s motive of “bleeding India by a thousand cuts.” We then see Indian spymaster Sanyal (R. Madhavan in an Ajit Doval-inspired role), who decides that infiltrating Pakistani terror networks is the best way forward.

The video next introduces Akshaye Khanna as the “Apex Predator” Rehman Dakait, followed by Sanjay Dutt’s SP Chaudhary Aslam. Ranveer Singh appears at the end, delivering a fiery dialogue: “Tum logo ke patakhe khatam ho gaye toh main dhamaka shuru karu?” (“If you are done with your crackers, shall I start the blast?”)

Arjun Rampal and Akshaye Khanna emerge as the clear standouts in the trailer, spelling terror in bold strokes. The trailer is violent and packed with intense action sequences featuring gunfights, blasts, and large-scale destruction. Amid this brutal world, Sara Arjun brings a breath of fresh air into Singh’s life, and their chemistry briefly softens the narrative’s grim tone. The high-octane spy thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, is set to be one of Bollywood’s biggest action titles of 2025.

About Dhurandhar

Dhurandhar is rumoured to be based on the life of Major Mohit Sharma, who went undercover as “Iftikhar” to infiltrate Hizbul Mujahideen in the early 2000s. Aditya Dhar returns to direction six years after his National Award–winning debut Uri: The Surgical Strike. The film releases on December 5.

Notably, the trailer has received a UA–16+ certification from the CBFC, suggesting intense and potentially violent content for mature audiences. With reports hinting that the scale of the narrative may lead to a two-part franchise, the film positions itself as a large-canvas espionage saga blending spectacle, drama, and intrigue, setting up one of Ranveer Singh’s most ambitious roles to date.
