On Sunday, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor were spotted at a Worli restaurant. It was the first time the two were seen together after their vacation in the Maldives last month. Kapoor had reportedly contracted the virus on New Year’s Eve and had been in quarantine. After putting to rest rumours about their separation, they were keen to prove that all is well between them.

No stopping Govinda
Govinda remains unfazed by the backlash he received for his song, Hello. On Sunday, he released a new track, Mere naal, on his YouTube channel, Govinda Royalles. The veteran actor-turned-singer disabled comments on his channel due to the barrage of criticism. Govinda, who was last seen in Rangeela Raja (2019), has now turned crooner and releases the music videos on YouTube. As soon as he unveiled Hello last week, he was trolled by netizens who felt it was “cringe-worthy stuff” and it was “embarrassing to watch Govinda do all this”. Several also advised him to “come out of the 1990s as it is now 2022”. They told him that they would prefer to watch his chartbusters from his blockbusters rather than see him prance around in the “hideous music videos”. Last year, Govinda featured as a judge on the Bengali reality show, Dance Bangla Dance. With Bollywood proving elusive, Chi Chi is now showcasing his dancing and singing prowess
in music videos produced by himself.
Beard woes
With most film shoots grinding to a halt due to the rise in virus cases, Amitabh Bachchan finds himself spending more time at his Juhu Scheme home. Big B shared a photograph and wrote, “Kaam vaam sab bandh hai, bas daadhi badhti jaa rahi hai.” The veteran superstar’s unruly facial fuzz did not bother fans who felt he looked better with a long beard.
A big bite of the magical world
Life’s a holiday for Kim Sharma and Leander Paes. They have now jetted off to the US. The actor shared snapshots of their “Disney day out” at the Magic Kingdom Park in Florida. The two “turned kiddos” to enjoy with the toons. Sharma flaunted her Minnie Mouse ears as she soaked in the “magical world”. The couple spent Christmas with Paes’s family in Kolkata. Earlier, they travelled to Punjab and Goa. Rumours of their romance began in April 2021 when the two were often spotted together in Bandra. Sharma and Paes made their relationship Insta official last September.
Indoors in Indore
While Vicky Kaushal is shooting for Laxman Utekar’s untitled film in Indore, Katrina Kaif is busy taking selfies in the hotel room. Considering the prevailing situation, she prefers to stay indoors. On Sunday, Kat shared a string of pictures attired in red. It appears that she still opts for the bridal colour. Kat had winged her way to Madhya Pradesh to be with hubby dearest to mark a month since their December wedding in Rajasthan.
Inked again
Shibani Dandekar has got herself inked again. She posted a glimpse of her latest tattoo — flying birds — on her forearm (below). The Four More Shots Please! actor called it “a special piece”. Last August, to mark her birthday, she got beau Farhan Akhtar’s name tattooed on her neck. It was Dandekar’s way to prove her love for Foo (as she calls the filmmaker-actor). He calls her Shu. The buzz is that they will tie the knot in March.
Ouster drama
Kiran Mane’s exit from Mulgi Zali Ho has created a furore. The actor alleges that he was removed from the Marathi show due to his anti-BJP posts. On Sunday, the Star Pravah channel issued a statement that he was “dismissed” due to his “misconduct” with several co-artistes and in particular, the female protagonist. “Despite warnings, he continued to behave in the same manner,” it read. The NCP has accused the channel of “cultural terrorism”.
New notes
Himansh Kohli and television actor Heli Daruvala feature in the music video of Jubin Nautiyal and Payal Dev’s latest track, Meri tarah. “Heli and I are working together after 11 years. We featured in the youth show, Humse Hai Life. This time she was also my on-set nurse when I injured myself during the shoot in Rajasthan,” says Kohli. Gautam Gulati also features in the video of the romantic number.
The winds of change
Though Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra prefer to keep mum about their relationship, Advani wished her beau on his big day on Sunday. She wrote, “Happy birthday, dearest one.” She added a heart emoji. Fans hoped that they now admit that they are a twosome. It’s high time, they added.
Same place, decades later
Shilpa Shetty Kundra found herself shooting for India’s Got Talent at the location where she shot for her Bollywood debut Baazigar (1993). The actor reminisced that she gave her first shot for Abbas-Mustan’s thriller, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, at the helipad at Film City, Goregaon. “Life comes a full circle in unexpected ways. Going back for India’s Got Talent was nostalgic. I have only gratitude for the wonderful journey that I’ve enjoyed,” she posted. Shetty features as a judge on the reality show alongside Kirron Kher, Badshah and Manoj Muntashir.
