Hema Malini shares most beautiful memory with Dharmendra from 'Kirana'

Hema Malini shared a series of emotional throwback photos of Dharmendra and their family, recalling cherished memories after his passing. She also highlighted a beloved moment from their 1977 film Kinara, calling it one of their most treasured experiences together

Actress-politician Hema Malini shared heartfelt throwback photos of late actor and husband Dharmendra, offering a rare glimpse into her personal memories, which also featured her daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. The senior actress has been sharing rare memories with her husband after his demise on November 24. 

Hema Malini remembers Dharmendra


Taking to her Instagram handle, Hema Malini shared a series of photos while remembering the actor and her precious "family moments" with him. The series of images featured photos of Dharmendra and Hema Malini. It also included candid snaps of Esha Deol and Ahana Deol with their father.



While sharing the photos, the actress wrote, "Some lovely family moments... simply treasured photos. I know it is a surfeit of photos but these have not been published and my emotions are unfolding as I see these," wrote Hema Malini.

In her latest post, Hema posted a still from the Ek Hi Khawab track from their 1977 outing Kirana. She revealed that this is her and Dharam Ji's most beloved memory from the romantic entertainer.

The Ek Hi Khawab song enjoys the melodious voice of Bhupinder Singh with tunes scored by legendary R. D. Burman.

"One of the most beautiful memories of me and Dharamji from the movie Kinara. It was directed by Gulzar saab and the song sung by Bhupinderji and music by R . D. Burman. #memories #memoriesforlife kinara (sic)," Hema captioned the post.

Apart from Kinara, one of the most adored Bollywood duos, Dharmendra and Hema Malini have shared the screen in several hits such as Sharafat (1970), Tum Haseen Main Jawaan (1970), Naya Zamana (1971), Raja Jani (1972), Seeta Aur Geeta (1972), Jugnu (1973), Pratiggya (1975), Sholay (1975), Dream Girl (1977), Chacha Bhatija (1977), Azaad (1978), Dillagi (1978), Aas Paas (1981) Razia Sultan (1983), and The Burning Train (1980), to name just a few.

About Dharmendra's death

Bollywood legend Dharmendra, fondly known as the industry's 'He-Man', passed away on November 24, 2025, leaving a void in Hindi cinema. Known for his gentle smile, charismatic screen presence, and six-decade-long career, Dharmendra remained a beloved figure on and off screen. To honour his life and legacy, the Deol family organised a prayer meet, titled 'Celebration of Life', at Seaside Lawns, Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai, on Thursday. From superstar Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit with her husband, ace filmmaker Karan Johar, to veteran actor Rekha, Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, several Bollywood celebrities marked their presence at the prayer meet.
