Jubin Nautiyal has raised over Rs 13 lakh through a virtual concert for those affected by the flood disaster in home-state Uttarakhand. The singer’s show was viewed by over 2.5 lakh people and the amount collected was handed over to the Uttarakhand government.

“The region always has my heart, and I could not imagine myself not using this opportunity after the disaster in Chamoli. The show was to raise funds as well as create awareness and support for the people affected. I thought even if all those who watch and donate even a rupee, it would make a difference.” During the pandemic, he extended a helping hand by distributing ration kits.

And now, Nautiyal and Himansh Kohli have teamed up for Main jis din bhula doon. The music video is a recreation of the track from Police Public (1990). “Often, I like a particular song and find out later that it’s sung by Jubin,” says the actor who features with telly names Akanksha Puri and Sneha Namanandi in the video. Composed by Rochak Kohli, the track was shot in Chandigarh and Patiala, and features Tulsi Kumar as co-singer.

"Whenever I'm in front of the camera, I learn something new. It doesn't matter what the format is, but what I have learned (working in a music video) is that it is much more difficult to narrate a story within five minutes and make it sensible than in a two-hour film. Films have their challenges, but you have a breather for every dialogue and emotion," Himansh told IANS.
