Boman Irani, who has lent his voice to the documentary film 1947: Brexit India, called it an exploration of a human tragedy, and a “pivotal moment” in India’s history. The Indo-US production has been officially selected to be showcased at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2023 in Goa. The documentary explores the events surrounding Britain’s abrupt exit from India in 1947, and features personalities including Shashi Tharoor, William Dalrymple, Ishtiaq Ahmed, and Uday Bhaskar. “As the narrator, I embraced the challenge of presenting a historical narrative to engage today’s audience. It’s not just a recounting of events; it’s an exploration of a human tragedy, a pivotal moment in our history. This project became a personal mission, unravelling the layers of a story many are unfamiliar with,” Irani said.

Actor Iman Vellani says she isn’t worried about the below-par box office collections of her latest film The Marvels, and would rather celebrate the positive feedback coming her way for the Marvel Studios movie. The Canadian actor’s latest release that sees her reprise her role of Kamala Khan, was reportedly among the weakest MCU films when it came to box-office collections. It hit screens on November 10 and earned USD 46.1 million in North America on day one, marking the worst opening in the history of the franchise’s history. “I don’t want to focus on something that’s not even in my control, because what’s the point? That’s for Bob Iger,” said Vellani of the producer.
