Last night, Khan invited his friends and family to his Bandra home to surprise Kapoor with a lavish bash. The actor ensured that his begum’s favourite dishes — Italian, Chinese, Thai and even the Indian aloo paratha — were on the menu. He looked into the decor, comprising floral arrangements and a sprinkling of red, white and pink balloons. While a dozen cakes were laid out for the actor, she picked her hubby’s chocolate one for the cake-cutting ceremony.

Khan also picked up Kapoor’s favourite red wine, raising a toast to her at dinner. It appears baby Taimur knew his mother needed some TLC, choosing to blissfully sleep throughout the night.

While close pals Malaika Arora, Amrita Ladak, and sister Karisma Kapoor spent the hours with the birthday girl, sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan and husband Kunal Kemmu made a quick exit. Tusshar Kapoor, whose son Laksshya bonds well with Taimur, couldn’t be part of the celebrations.
Natasha Poonawala, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Arpita Khan Sharma, Karan Johar and Manish Malhotra were also in attendance.
