Three minor boys who went missing from Delhi on July 25 were discovered safe at a train station in Maharashtra's Nashik on Tuesday, four days after leaving home for Mumbai in the hopes of meeting Bollywood celebrity Salman Khan, authorities said.

The trio, aged 13, 11, and nine, allegedly met one Wahid from Jalna in Maharashtra via an online gaming site. They decided to pay him a visit after he claimed to have seen the star before and could arrange for them to meet with him, according to authorities.

Here's what the police found out

On July 25, they left for Jalna without alerting anyone, with the intention of travelling to Mumbai to meet the star. Wahid, on the other hand, walked out of the meeting after learning about the children's relatives and the police's search for them.

The boys subsequently altered their plans and disembarked at a railway station in Nashik, where they were apprehended by authorities.

Minors attend the same school in the national capital's Sadar Bazar district. During the initial inquiry, authorities discovered a handwritten message at one of the missing children's homes, detailing their desire to meet a person named Wahid from Jalna.

CCTV footage from the area near their residences showed the boys travelling towards Ajmeri Gate, implying that they may have taken a train from New Delhi Railway Station.

After investigating train lines, investigators assumed the youngsters had boarded the Sachkhand Express going for Maharashtra.

Simultaneously, the Delhi Police cooperated with the Railway Police and their colleagues in Jalna, assigning teams to multiple potential locations. A check of Wahid's home in Jalna yielded no results, but brief activity on one of the boys' phones enabled police to track them down to Nashik.

When a fan girl entered Salman's apartment

This isn't the first time Salman Khan fans have done something like this. Recently, a lady had entered his home. On The Great Indian Kapil Show, Salman shared what had happened.  He said, "Yes, something like that recently happened. There were security guards outside. A woman told them she wanted to head up to the fourth floor, and she entered. She rang the doorbell, and our servant opened the door. The servant was shocked because the lady said, ‘Salman called me over.’ Obviously, the servant saw her and was sure I definitely didn’t call her. She was a fan, so she was escorted out."
