Choudry replied sharply yet gracefully: “Through the live show market. I’ve been one of the busiest live singer-performers for 17 years for corporate and wedding shows and am the number one female host for live events. Just because you don’t see me on screen doesn’t mean I haven’t made my place elsewhere. In India, unless you are in the top 10 actresses, you don’t make money. I realised that a long, long time ago — and thank God for that.”
Sophie hits back at troll targeting Jennifer Lopez
Taking to her X handle, Sophie posted a picture with Jennifer Lopez and wrote, “Jennifer Lopez… An artist I absolutely adore and have been hugely inspired by for more than two decades!! Her on-stage fire, her discipline, her music videos, her style, so many of her movies… just iconic!”
When a fan questioned Lopez’s dress sense at 56, Sophie shared a video of the pop star’s stage performance and responded, “Ummm… She looks better than most 20-year-old performers! If she can carry it off and her fans don’t have a problem with it, what’s yours??”
Talking about Sophie Choudry, she has hosted shows for MTV India and has been part of films like Shaadi No. 1, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, and Kidnap, among others. She is also a trained dancer and a prominent social media personality.
