Farah Khan jokes Aamir Khan cut Vir Das’ Delhi Belly song short out of jealousy

Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recently revisited a fun behind-the-scenes moment from the cult comedy Delhi Belly, sharing a light-hearted anecdote involving Aamir Khan and Vir Das. The conversation came up during a casual visit to Vir Das’s home, where the trio were discussing Vir’s upcoming directorial debut Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. What followed was a nostalgic and humorous throwback that fans of the film thoroughly enjoyed. Farah Khan calls Aamir Khan jealous Farah, who had choreographed Vir Das’s energetic song Jaa Chudail in Delhi Belly, began by praising the actor. Calling him a “great dancer,” she jokingly claimed that the song was cut short in the final edit because it turned out too good. With her trademark wit, she said, “It was too good aur Aamir ne woh dekha aur jal ke maare humara gaana aadha kaat diya kyuki uska gaana aaney wala tha uske baad.” According to Farah, Aamir trimmed the song out of jealousy since his own track was supposed to come next in the film. Vir Das burst into laughter at the claim and recalled the explanation he had received at the time. “But I was told there were pacing issues,” he said, referring to the official reason given for shortening the song. Farah, clearly unconvinced, shot back with a dry and sarcastic, “Yeah, sure,” prompting more laughter. Vir Das recalls working with Farah Khan The conversation then turned to Vir’s experience working with Farah and her team. Sharing an honest memory, Vir said, “Farah Khan’s team scares artistes a lot. They’re like, ‘This isn’t good enough for ma’am.’ But when Farah comes in, it’s completely the opposite.” He added warmly, “She’s the sweetest. She even sat and ate peanut butter with me.” Farah agreed with a smile and reiterated her praise, saying, “We had great fun shooting that song, and Vir is such a great dancer.” The trio also laughed about the memorable costumes from the Jaa Chudail shoot. Vir joked, “You put me in leather pants,” which Farah immediately followed up with, “Yes — and that curly hair wig!” Vir then revealed an amusing detail, saying, “And those were Aamir’s pants.” A visibly shocked Farah asked, “But how did you fit into Aamir’s pants?” Without missing a beat, Vir replied, “I had to wear something extra…” As the conversation wrapped up, Farah playfully warned, “Aamir, we are exposing a lot of your secrets,” keeping the tone fun and affectionate. The candid exchange offered fans a rare glimpse into the camaraderie behind Delhi Belly, reminding everyone why the film, and the people behind it, continue to be loved years later.

Mallika Prasad on reactions to Amma in Mardaani 3: 'Truly humbled'

Yash Raj Films unveiled the trailer of Mardaani 3 on Monday which has instantly ignited buzz — and not just for the return of Rani Mukerji as the widely loved character of ACP Shivani Shivaji Roy, but also for its chilling antagonist, ‘Amma,’ portrayed by Mallika Prasad. The Mardaani franchise known for giving Bollywood its most gruesome villains has once again hit it out of the park! Mallika Prasad on reactions to Amma In the past 24 hours, netizens have reacted with a range of emotions from fear to hate for 'Amma' with online reactions highlighting her menacing screen presence and the intensity with which Mallika Prasad embodies the mastermind behind a brutal human-trafficking network, setting up a gripping face-off with Shivani. People have also praised the raw, unsettling portrayal of Amma, admiring the depth and psychological edge the character brings to the story, crediting Prasad’s performance with adding a fresh, chilling layer to the franchise.  Talking about all the love she's been receiving Mallika says, “Mardaani 3 stands as one of the most defining experiences of my career. Amma is evil yet holds a fierce spirit. It was a privilege to bring her to life. Roles like these demand that you shed comforts, sit with your own shadows, and stand in a truth larger than yourself. Amma challenged me in ways I did not anticipate. I have thoroughly enjoyed the process, and I am most grateful for the opportunity.” She adds, “My heartfelt thanks to Abhiraj, for his trust, his gentle manner, and unwavering vision. My deep gratitude to YRF and Mr. Aditya Chopra whose faith in me and in the script made it easy to build a character like Amma with such freedom. I thank Shanoo Sharma, who is one of the key reasons I am here.” Mallika further adds, “The entire cast offers exceptional talent, discipline, and generosity. I feel honoured to stand alongside them. Above all, my respect goes to the crew. Their commitment and level of excellence lifts the entire narrative. Their unwavering warmth made going to the set every day an absolute joy! I am so proud to be part of this team. The Mardani franchise has a powerful legacy of confronting uncomfortable truths and pushing conversations forward, and I feel honoured to be part of that journey. Rani Mukerji is brilliant in her portrayal of Shivani Shivaji Roy as she brings to light, yet again, the real women out there in the world fighting unimaginable crimes. These unsung heroes are the reason I explore the darkness in Amma with conviction.” A character of depth and dimension: Mallika She ends saying, “I am grateful that the character of Amma allows me to explore the complexity of a woman who inhabits the dark underbelly of our world. I am so glad that the script and Abhiraj moved away from an easy, simplistic, black and white telling of this story - giving the character of Amma depth and dimension. The response to the Mardaani 3 trailer has been overwhelming, and I am truly humbled by the curiosity and excitement Amma has already sparked. To everyone who has sent messages, shared their reactions, or embraced the intensity of the trailer—thank you. Your energy fuels us. I cannot wait for audiences to step into Amma’s world, to meet her in all her contradictions, and to experience the fire that drives her. She is not what she seems… and that’s where her power lies. Mardaani 3 releases in cinemas worldwide on January 30.” Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani 3 continues the franchise’s tradition of socially relevant cinema. While Mardaani exposed the grim realities of human trafficking and Mardaani 2 explored the disturbing psyche of a serial rapist who challenged the system, Mardaani 3 delves into another dark and brutal reality of our society, further strengthening the franchise’s legacy of impactful, issue-based storytelling. Mardaani 3 is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on January 30, 2026.
