Like the rest of the world, the Gully Boy actor Vijay Varma is hooked to the screen at home amid the lockdown. Varma, who was first noticed for his performance in the 2016 release Pink, has been discovering a lot of regional content on the web. Fleabag: Fleabag is on the top of Vijay Varma's recommendation list. He says, "I would recommend Fleabag on Amazon, it's one of my favourite shows". Fleabag is a British comedy-drama television series and tells us the story of a free-spirited but angry and confused young woman in London.
The Knick: "There is a series called The Knick. You have to watch it to believe how good it is", says the actor. The Knick is an American television drama series and tells us the story of a doctor and the staff during the early twentieth century.
Special Ops: Varma suggests watching Special Ops to escape boredom during quarantine. Special Ops is an Indian espionage thriller series that stars Kay Menon, Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, and Saiyami Kher among others.
Delhi Crime: Delhi Crime is also on the list of the Gully Boy actor. The crime drama web series is based on the 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape and the subsequent police investigation. Starring Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain and Rajesh Tailang, Delhi Crime premiered on Netflix in March 2019.
Angamaly Diaries: Varma, who was first noticed for his performance in the 2016 release Pink, has been discovering a lot of regional content on the web. He says, "Regional cinema has always made good content, but it never got its due. It is welcoming to see how people are enjoying it on the OTT platforms". In regional content, he recommends Malayalam language film Angamaly Diaries.
Kumbalangi Nights: Kumbalangi Nights is next on his regional cinema list. Set in the eponymous fishing village of Kumbalangi in Kochi, Kerala, the film centres on the strained relationship between four brothers living together in a dysfunctional home.
