Based on David Grann's bestseller of the same name, the movie is about explorer Percy Fawcett who disappeared on an expedition in the 1920s to find a mythical city in the Amazon jungles he believed he saw in a previous trek.
James Gray is directing the film based on his own script. Holland's previous projects include "The Impossible".
