Hollywood filmmaker Rob Reiner's son Nick arrested in their parents' murder case

On Monday morning, the world woke to the devastating news that American filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer, had been found dead at their Los Angeles home. Their son, Nick Reiner, was one of the suspects in their suspected murder, and reports indicate that he has since been detained. Page Six was the first to disclose Nick's arrest. According to TMZ, he is now being held by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on a bail of USD 4 million. Nick was reportedly arrested on Sunday night. There have been reports of Nick's arrest, but there is no confirmation. All about Rob Reiner and wife's death According to reports, Rob and his wife were found dead in their house after being stabbed. The family's statement stated, "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner." We are grieved by this abrupt death, and we need privacy during this extremely difficult time." Rob Reiner was one of Hollywood's most prominent filmmakers. This Is Spinal Tap, released in 1984, marked the beginning of his career. He later directed other blockbuster pictures, including When Harry Met Sally, Misery, A Few Good Men, The American President, and others. His most recent film, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, was released in September of this year. In 1971, he married actress Penny Marshall, but the couple separated in 1981. Later, in 1989, he married Michele Singer and had three children: two sons, Jack and Nick, and a daughter, Romy. While stories of Nick's arrest circulate, the reason for his suspected murder of parents has yet to be discovered. Recent controversy over Rob's demise Following the probable killings of Reiner, 78, and his 68-year-old wife, Michele, who were discovered dead at their Brentwood home on Sunday, Trump rushed to social media to describe the director as "tortured and struggling". He additionally stated that Reiner passed away "due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind-crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME" . Trump then shifted his focus to promoting his own successes, claiming that Reiner's supposed "raging obsession" and "obvious paranoia" against him contrasted with his administration. Trump claimed to have "surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness … with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before".

George Clooney says he no longer wants to do kissing scenes

Hollywood actor George Clooney has said he is no longer interested in kissing female co-stars on screen, revealing that the decision came after a conversation with his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, according to People. The 64-year-old actor shared his views in an interview with the Daily Mail, where he said he has moved past romantic on-screen moments, particularly kissing scenes. "I've been trying to go the route Paul Newman did -- 'Okay, well, I'm not kissing a girl anymore,' " George said. Explaining his reasoning, the actor recalled a candid discussion he had with Amal after turning 60. "When I turned 60, I had a conversation with my wife. I said, 'Look, I can still play basketball with the boys. I play with 25-year-old guys. I can still hang, I'm in shape. But in 25 years, I'm 85 years old. It doesn't matter how many granola bars you eat, that's a real number,' " he added, as quoted by People. Clooney has starred in several romantic films over the years, including Ticket to Paradise (2022) opposite Julia Roberts, Intolerable Cruelty (2003) with Catherine Zeta-Jones, and One Fine Day (1996) alongside Michelle Pfeiffer. Speaking about his experiences filming romantic scenes, the Oscar winner recalled an incident he had previously shared with The New York Times in September 2022, when a director criticised one of his kissing scenes early in his career. "I remember early on in my career, I had to do a kissing scene with this girl, and the director goes, 'Not like that.' And I was like, 'Dude, that's my move! That's what I do in real life!' " George said at the time. In the same interview, Clooney revealed that filming a kissing scene with Julia Roberts for Ticket to Paradise took multiple attempts. "Yeah. I told my wife, 'It took 80 takes,' " he said. "She was like, 'What the hell?' " Roberts later clarified, "It took 79 takes of us laughing and then the one take of us kissing," to which Clooney responded, "Well, we had to get it right," as reported by People. Earlier in November, Clooney also spoke about the secret behind his long-lasting marriage to Amal during an interview with CBS News. "Well, when you're younger, you want to be right about everything, you know. 'Don't paint that colour on the wall,' " George said. "And you know, Amal and I -- everybody gets ticked off when I say it -- but we've never had a fight. We never had an argument. And some of it is because I'm at this point in life where if she wants to paint the wall red, I don't care," he continued, as per the outlet. George and Amal were first introduced by a friend in July 2013. They began dating, and the actor proposed in April 2014. The couple tied the knot that September, according to People. The couple are parents to eight-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella. This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies. General Hospital actor Anthony Geary passes away at 78

Anthony Geary, the actor best known for his iconic role as Luke Spencer on the daytime soap opera General Hospital, has died at the age of 78. TMZ confirmed that Geary passed away on Sunday in Amsterdam, with reports suggesting complications from a planned surgery may have contributed to his death. The official cause of death has not been confirmed. Geary, a native of Utah, earned a theatre scholarship to the University of Utah before moving to Los Angeles in the 1970s to pursue an acting career. He made early appearances on The Partridge Family, The Mod Squad, All in the Family, Bright Promise, and The Young and the Restless before being approached by General Hospital producer-director Gloria Monty in 1978 to create the role of Lucas Lorenzo Spencer. Describing Luke Spencer as "an antihero, a person who does all the wrong things for the right reasons," Monty shaped the character to be a man of action who would "cause a lot of trouble for a lot of people." Geary's portrayal, alongside co-star Genie Francis, made Luke and Laura one of television's most iconic couples. Their on-screen wedding in 1981 drew 30 million viewers, with Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor making a cameo. Geary first left General Hospital in 1983 but returned in 1991 as Luke's lookalike cousin, Bill Eckert. He continued on the show until his final regular appearance on July 27, 2015, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Over his career, Geary won eight Daytime Emmy Awards for outstanding actor in a daytime drama series -- in 1982, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2012, and 2015, and received nine additional nominations, cementing his place as one of the most celebrated actors in soap opera history. "The entire General Hospital family is heartbroken over the news of Tony Geary's passing," said executive producer Frank Valentini. "Tony was a brilliant actor and set the bar that we continue to strive for. His legacy, and that of Luke Spencer's, will live on through the generations of G.H. castmembers who have followed in his footsteps," as quoted by the outlet. Leonardo DiCaprio says he would never want to direct for THIS reason

Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio has said he has no plans to pursue film direction, citing his admiration for legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese and admitting he does not believe he could ever match the veteran director's cinematic brilliance, according to People. DiCaprio made the remarks during a conversation with Scorsese at the A Year in TIME event held in New York City, where the two discussed their long-standing professional collaboration and creative process. "Some people have asked me if I wanted to direct. I'm like, 'I would never want to direct. I could never do anything close to what Martin Scorsese does. Why would I do that?" DiCaprio, 51, said during the discussion, as quoted by People. While ruling out directing, the Oscar-winning actor reflected on his journey as a performer and said he sometimes wished he had stepped back on earlier projects to observe the filmmaking process more closely. "You play these characters, you try to get into the depths of their soul as much as you possibly can. And I would've loved to be much more of a voyeur ... to watch what you (Scorsese) do behind the camera," he said. "If I look back on anything, I would've loved to have observed that process behind the camera a lot more,' he added, according to People. The actor, who has worked with Scorsese on six films so far, also spoke about their distinctive collaboration, highlighting the extensive preparation that goes into their projects well before filming begins. "That's been our process a lot, I think, working together ... the ability to almost have a debate for months before and lots of questions, and lots of playing devil's advocate about a way to approach things that may not be the most obvious direction," he said. He added, "We're doing that on the new film that we're doing now, but it's been absolutely one of the most profound learning experiences." Calling his association with Scorsese one of the proudest achievements of his life, DiCaprio recalled being introduced to the filmmaker's work at a young age. "I grew up watching movies very young -- wanting to be an actor," he said. "My father brought me to see Marty's work, along with Mr Robert De Niro's, and said, 'If there's anyone you want to strive to work with in your career, now that you have the capability of doing movies, it's with this gentleman.' So I got to see Marty's work very, very early on," as quoted by People. DiCaprio and Scorsese first collaborated on Gangs of New York in 2002 and have since worked together on several critically acclaimed films, including The Aviator, The Departed, and Killers of the Flower Moon. Their seventh collaboration, What Happens at Night, is currently in production, with DiCaprio set to star alongside Jennifer Lawrence in the film adaptation of Peter Cameron's novel, according to People. Catherine Zeta-Jones expresses grief over Australia’s Bondi Beach shooting

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones expressed her profound grief over the unfortunate Australia’s Bondi Beach shooting, which took place on Sunday. With a heavy heart, the Wednesday actress was forced to ask some pertinent questions following the incident, such as why are people not allowed to celebrate their festivals in peace, and why are students subjected to massive gun violence?           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Catherine Zeta-Jones (@catherinezetajones) Pointing out the rising levels of toxicity in society, Catherine wrote a heartfelt post on her Instagram that read, "After a weekend of profound sadness my heart is heavy. Why can’t Jews celebrate their holiday on a beach in Australia, without being massacred. Why can’t young students study in a classroom without being gunned down. Why do our friends need to be killed in their homes. Hate, violence and abusive rhetoric has permeated to levels of unimaginable toxicity. (sic)." Catherine pointed out that while it is okay not to agree with each other on various matters from time to time, what is not okay is to resort to such violence to deal with the difference of opinion. "Across the board. Everywhere. Over 8 billion of us on this planet. We can’t expected to be liked or to like everyone. We can’t expect to agree with everyone or for everyone to agree with us. But why does one have to be killed for it. There is room for us all here on a heavenly earth. Hell is filling up pretty quick," she added. On December 14, a mass shooting was carried out by two gunmen at Bondi Beach in Australia. The incident took place during a Hanukkah event known as "Chanukah by the Sea," which was attended by around 1,000 people. At least 15 people lost their lives, while several others were left injured in the incident that has been declared a terrorist attack by the authorities. Ice Cube supports Paul Rudd's Anaconda

Paul Rudd on rapper Ice Cube's support for Anaconda: 'It means everything'

Hollywood is buzzing with excitement as Anaconda, the highly anticipated film, gears up for its Christmas Day release this year. Led by comedy icons Paul Rudd and Jack Black, the film blends humour, horror and self-aware storytelling. The film has now received a symbolic endorsement from one of the original movie’s most memorable stars - rapper Ice Cube, who essayed the role of Danny Rich in the 1997 movie. Paul Rudd responds to Ice Cube's approval Speaking at the Anaconda premiere in Los Angeles, Paul Rudd compared rapper-actor Ice Cube’s nod of approval to “being blessed by the Pope.” “It means everything. That’s like being blessed by the Pope,” he joked. “You go over, you kiss the ring, and he gives you a pat on the head and says, ‘Good job, son.'” In a surprise red carpet appearance, Ice Cube revealed that he enthusiastically accepted a cameo role in the new film, 28 years after his involvement in the 1997 original. “When they asked me to do it, and I knew the kind of movie they were doing, I jumped at it,” Cube told reporters. His return has been hailed by fans as a nostalgic and fitting bookend to his early career in the franchise.  More about Anaconda  The film will be directed by Tom Gormican, best known for The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Gormican is also co-writing the script with Kevin Etten. The movie is unrelated to the 1997 cult thriller starring Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, and Jon Voight. Rather than a straight remake, the 2025 Anaconda offers a meta twist on the original story. Rudd and Black play lifelong friends determined to film their own low-budget remake of the beloved snake thriller. Their adventure into the Amazon quickly turns chaotic and dangerous when they encounter a real giant snake — turning their movie-within-a-movie into a very real jungle survival story. The project is being produced by Brad Fuller and Andrew Form under their Fully Formed banner. Black and Rudd, both closely linked to Sony through their roles in the Jumanji and Ghostbusters franchises, are also actively involved in the production. Sony Pictures Entertainment India will release Anaconda on 25th December in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu
