Cate Blanchett is all set to play a big city girl, who discovers she has cancer three weeks before her wedding day, in HBO's new TV movie.
According to industry website The Hollywood Reporter, the Australian Oscar winner will star in and executive-produce the movie, which is based on Marisa Acocella Marchetto’s graphic memoir Cancer Vixen: A True Story, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Marchetto, a cartoonist, was planning her wedding when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The book tells the story of her ultimately triumphant, 11-month battle with the disease.
The movie will be produced by British actress and producer Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray, who are currently busy meeting with writers to adapt the material.
