Hollywood actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has signed on for a role in Steven Soderbergh's 'Side Effects'.

The 42-year-old will join Jude Law, Channing Tatum and Blake Lively in the movie, written by Scott Z Burns, reported Contactmusic.

Blake plays the role of a depressed woman with an addiction to prescription medication, who begins a relationship with her doctor (Law), while dealing with the impending release of her husband (Tatum) from prison.

Jones will be playing a doctor named Eric Siebert.

The production is due to start in April. Jones, who had a troubled 2011 where she went to hospital suffering with bipolar disorder, Jones has been making a strong comeback, shooting substantial roles in 'Rock of Ages' alongside Tom Cruise and Julianne Hough and Stephen Frears' 'Lay The Favorite' with Bruce Willis.
