The Hollywood A-list couple announced on Tuesday that they have split 'amicably'.u00a0“They’ve tried for months to save the relationship but have known for weeks that it couldn’t be saved.”

Last week, Paradis arrived in France where she is promoting her film Je Me Suis Fait Tout Petit at the Cabourg Festival of Romantic Cinema.u00a0The source insisted that the timing of the couple’s separation announcement was purposefully coincided with Paradis’ trip to France.



“It was all decided before she got on that plane,” the source said. The couple, who did not marry, are parents to two kids, Lily-Rose, 13, and Jack, 9.u00a0
