Marion Cotillard in 'The Dark Knight Rises'?

French atress Marion Cotillard has reportedly been signed on to act in new Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises".

Cotillard, who is currently expecting her first child, will appear in "The Dark Knight Rises" alongside Christain Bale who returns as the caped crusader. The film also stars Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

According to French newspaper Le Fiagro, Marion Cotillard will join the production this summer in Los Angeles, where she will share the bill with Anne Hathaway.

The Oscar winner is said to be scaling back her future projects to focus on motherhood, reports contactmusic.com.

Le Fiagro wrote: "The actress, who is expecting a child in the spring with Guillaume Canet, will be scarce this year. She'll do a single film and her choice fell on Batman 3."
