The Last Song is about a rebellious teenager (Cyrus) who is forced to spend the summer with the father who left her years earlier. Hemsworth is playing a member of the local cool crowd, an awesome beach volleyball player with Ivy League dreams.

The 16-year-old just tweeted about the kiss saying, "i am not dating liam! we have a kissing scene on the beach today :) im just working :) not a bad job huh? haha"
