A track from Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s film Aks has found its way into a mobile commercial featuring Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr. The Rabba Rabba song from Mehra’s 2001 film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Raveena Tandon and Manoj Bajpai has the Iron Man getting jiggy to the chorus.

It has come as a pleasant surprise to Mehra that the track has been used over a decade later. And that too in an ad featuring Hollywood’s cool dude. Says Mehra, “I was just working on something when I suddenly got a few congratulatory messages from close friends. It was when my wife Bharathi sent me the link to the ad that I was taken aback.”

He adds, “Robert Downey Jr is one of my favorite actors and to see him grooving to Rabba Rabba from my film Aks just made my day. I am feeling extremely happy about it.”The commercial of the Taiwanese smartphone, which was recently launched, has Downey Jr essaying an advertising executive.

The offbeat ad campaign sees the star doing some quirky stuff in his own inimitable way including gyrating to Rabba Rabba that plays twice in the commercial. Incidentally, Rabba Rabba, composed by Anu Malik was sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Vasundhara Das and Gulzar wrote the lyrics.u00a0
