"I love Krrish," says eight-year old Sunny Pawar, excitedly, when asked who is his favourite Hindi film actor. An ardent fan of Hrithik Roshan, Sunny admits that the masked superhero is the reason why he wants to become an actor. "I am a Hindi movie buff, but I am glad my first film is in English. The next will be in Hindi," he assures, before his manager tells us that he has already shot for his next, Love Sonia, featuring Demi Moore.

Sunny stumbled into the limelight after his film, Lion, starring Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel, got nominated in four categories at the Golden Globe Awards. Directed by Garth Davis, the narrative follows the story of a young boy, Saroo, who gets separated from his family only to embark on a journey to find them two decades later using Google Earth. While the international reviews haven't stopped raving about the kid, Sunny says he is oblivious to the fame. "Am I famous?" he queries, adding, "My friends treat me the same way as they used to. But things have changed. Earlier, I used to watch TV and play around with friends all day. I have got busy after the film."

Sunny was never starstruck by his famous co-star, Kidman. "I didn't know who she was. But when I first met her, I was taken in by her warmth and kindness. The first day we were strictly formal. But once we started shooting together, we bonded," says Sunny, adding that the best thing about the film was his first flight experience. "We were travelling from Mumbai to Kolkata, and I was on cloud nine. I kept looking out of the window. I'd always fantasised about taking a flight. But then it became a routine," says Sunny.
